This will (hopefully) be an ongoing blog for winter break.
I woke up a bit too early today (8:00 am) because the Eddie yesterday decided that the Eddie today should wake up four hours early for the last game of the Cantwell-Sacred Heart of Mary High School tournament. I turned off the alarm of my HTC Aria and continued sleeping until about 9:30 am. I woke up a bit too early at about 10:20 am, but this time I decided to grab some breakfast.
Finding two Asian-style bread from JJ Bakery on the kitchen counter, I consumed them quickly and went back upstairs to my room. My laptop was turned on for some reason that I didn't seem to question until now... The point is, it didn't bother me; I don't enjoy the boot-up time anyways.
I checked my "strictly business" email and replied to the USC Admissions Office about some discrepancy on the application I sent in a few weeks ago. In addition, I wrote and sent an email to my past AP Physics B teacher, Mr. Hughes, about a letter of recommendation for the Common Application.
I took a slow shower and got dressed for the game.
I ate a half bowl of seafood noodles for lunch, knowing if I were to eat a whole bowl I might vomit all over the perfectly polished (unlike my home court at Los Altos High School) gym at CSHM High School.
After considering the fact that I lost my driver's license along with my wallet, my mom decided to drive me to the tournament. The rain hitting the windshield of the Mercedes E-class reminded me of typhoons and monsoons in Taiwan, where I spent about 9 years of my life at. I fell asleep listening to Katy Perry remixed with the white noise of nature.
I got there early along with Darrel and Walter. We watched the game between South Pasadena High School (who we beat the day before) and Artesia High School. Artesia ended up beating the Tigers 100 to 94 or something.
We played an Hamilton, an athletic team, today. I would say about 3/4 of Hamilton's players can dunk, where as only 2 of our players have ever dunked on a regulation court before. Long story short, Los Altos High School beat Hamilton High School by a safe number fair and square. We went 4 wins and 1 loss (to Montclair Prep by only 11, which is more fantastic than it is reasonable) in this tournament.
Coach decided to treat us to BJ's Restaurant and Brewhouse rather than to "steak and lobster" if we went 5 wins and 0 loss, an unlikely promise he said we could quote him on.
I fell asleep during the ride home; no dream.
Now I'm home typing this up while listening to Kanye West's album, My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy. This is all for now, since I probably won't be doing anything exciting tonight. But something does happen, I'll (no promises) edit this post.
For lack of a better ending, good bye.
